The Automatic Stove/Oven Control can be used to limit the times when the stove/oven are operable or to turn off the stove when there is no one in the kitchen. Program the counter-top motion detector to turn off the stove/oven 5, 10 or 15 minutes after the room is empty. To restart the stove or oven, just push “Start”.

The Stove Monitor has two components, one fits behind your electric stove - it plugs into the wall and your stove plugs into it. The other fits underneath an adjacent cabinet or on the counter back splash, continuously monitoring activity in the kitchen.  When no activity is detected the Stove Monitor begins the timer and then turns off the stove and the oven. (Push the “override” button when it’s safe to leave unattended pots on the stove or in the oven.)

Fits stoves with three or four prong, 240v plugs (Specify 3- or 4-prong plug).  Someone qualified to move the stove and install an electrical device is recommended.

How it Works
CookStop continuously checks for movement in the kitchen.

If the resident leaves the room, or falls asleep, Cookstop shuts the stove off.

Product Features:: 

• Programmable to automatically turn off the stove and oven after 5 seconds to 90 minutes if no activity detected in the kitchen (factory default is 5 minutes)
  
• Always on, monitoring and watching for activity in the kitchen
  
• Programmable to allow access to the stove/oven only during certain hours of the day
  
• Can be over-ridden to cook meals when it is safe to leave the kitchen
  
• To restart or continue cooking after stove has been turned off, just push the green "COOK" button
  
• Settings can only be changed with the use of an "I" button (comes with individual units or one per 15 units when ordered in quantity)
  
• Works with either 3- or 4-prong 240v plugs (please specify if your appliance has a 3- or 4-prong plug when ordering)
