Things to be aware of:

An electrical outlet needs to be relatively close by.
Among our concerns was how fast this device might lower or elevate. We were pleasantly surprised to find a constant, uniform speed and no difficulty at all lifting even the heaviest of users.
Our next concern was whether one could get their fingers pinched when the seat was lowering. Fingers can get squeezed, but because it is a padded cushion that is lowering, there is plenty of time to move your fingers. And if you feel stubborn and do not move your fingers, it is not uncomfortable. Bottom line: Do not put fingers where they can be caught by the lowering cushion!

What we like best about this product:
It is strong, dependable and safe. It does not catapult the person across the room, but rather slowly, gently and firmly lifts or assists them to a standing position. For families dealing with anyone who has trouble standing or sitting it is an excellent solution.
